Hey Dolls,
One of the hottest trends for Fall is "MILITARY". I'm sure the first thing that came to mind was head to toe G.I. Joe camouflage. Well, it's time to throw out that vision and think beyond that perfectly creased uniform. This fall military wear takes on many different forms - from casual to all out glam.

Here, I've taken a pair of camo flight pants and paired them with a fun word tee along with studded heels, dark sunnies, red lippie...AND BAM! Instant "Military Chic".

I can already vision styling these pants with a nude bodysuit and long black vest! YaaaaS!
Do you own any military inspired pieces?

Hey Dolls,
Fall is quickly approaching and soon it will be time to pack up that summer clothing to make room for cool weather options. As you sort through those summer items think about pieces that can be used to transition into fall.
Not sure how to transition your wardrobe from summer to fall?
Take this dress for instance, during the summer it could be worn with light colored accessories, sandals, and a straw hat. Here, I used the same dress to accomplish a fall transition look by adding black accessories, booties, and a wool hat.
Boho Maxi Dress - c/o Lane Bryant
Everything else is old (lol)
On those cool fall nights I could add a light leather jacket -one with fringe of course to keep this boho vibe poppin!
Transitional styling is a great way to save money!

Hey Dolls,
How is your Summer going thus far? It's been in the triple digits here in Dallas so staying cool has been my goal. When it comes to dressing for those oh so hot days - my motto is "easy breezy". This box of summer goodies that Maurices sent me is totally in sync with my summer style motto.

Would you believe that I've never tried Maurices? I liked it so much that I placed an order!

I love a great maxi dress - they're cute, comfy and easy to style. Use maxi dresses to maximize your summer wardrobe by layering tops over the dress to simulate a skirt and top combo, rock a cardi/vest/blazer/jacket over it, wear a tee underneath, gather it up and tie a knot at the hem - the styling is endless.

I was a bit iffy about the print but all of that changed when I put it on. I'm in love with this dress! Want one for yourself? Of course you do!

Hey Dolls,
It's been over a month since my last post! My life has been absolutely cray (crazy) these past couple of months. Here's the breakdown of "cray"...

1.) Hubby went to Israel for a month!
2.) While he was away - I cleaned out our apartment (got rid of tons of stuff and packed as much as I could while still working a full-time job Mon - Fri and being solo parent for our teen).
3.) When hubby returned - we packed up the rest of the apartment and moved into a new apartment (which I love).
4.) Hubby started new job as the youth pastor at our church.
5.) I've been working on getting the new place together (I'll blog a tour when It's all finished).

WHEW! Imagine trying to fit blogging into all of that. Thank God that things have calmed down some and I was able to snap some pics today. Aren't you glad I'm back! I am cause I sure missed Y'all (in my Texas accent)!
I literally purchased this jumpsuit the day it hit the Lane Bryant website and am just getting around to wearing it. Unfortunately, it's sold out online but you may be able to find one in a store.
Oh and can we talk about these fantastically fun tassel earrings from J Crew. OMG - I'm obsessed! Unfortunately, these too are sold out online but I found mine in a store (scored the last pair).

Handbag was purchased from a local boutique here in Dallas, shoes were purchased last year from Asos, and bangles are from Lane Bryant.

Hope you liked my "fit" (outfit).
With Love,
p.s. when I'm not here you can find me on Instagram - @reztothecity and Snapchat - @reztothecity. I'm pretty much on both daily. :-)
