FALL BRILLIANCE WITH JD WILLIAMS

It's Fall Y'all!!!
I'm so excited because Fall is the January of fashion! That means it's time to pull out all of those amazing statement pieces. Speaking of statement pieces, can we just take a moment to admire this jacket. The color, the print, the details...it's perfect! I feel so preppy chic.

For this post I teamed up with JD Williams to launch their Fall campaign, "The JD Brilliance". The JD Brilliance campaign is about being at your brilliant best. The brand is offering their best prices, best styles, and best fit. Basically, they are offering their customers the best of everything!

Sounds like an awesome brand to me. I mean who wouldn't want THE BEST?!

You can shop my entire look below

Y'all know that I like to keep it classy, but that doesn't have to mean boring. I always add in a fun statement-maker. My outfit here contains two classy pieces, jeans and a crisp white button up, but notice these aren't just any old jeans - they're distressed, fitted, and fun. My jacket is very classy, but the little dog brooch and mixed print buttons make a big statement. It really is all in the details.

Ladies, if you want to make your Fall fashionably fabulous, shop with JD Billiance.

FASHION X DALLAS 2016

Hey Dolls,

On Saturday Kayla and I attended Fashion X Dallas! Fashion X Dallas was established in 2014 by the Fashion X, the founders of Austin Fashion Week, Fashion X Dallas and, coming in 2016, Fashion X Houston.

Kayla got so many compliments on her outfit. She slayed!

btw - she has a new blog called MAKAYLA ALANAH and you can find her on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

Ran into my blogger boo Madi of Giraffes and Jewels. She kilt it in this sequin dress. We were two Eloquii babes!

Fashion X Dallas is the premiere “fashion week” in the DFW market and features 3 nights of runway shows. Each night features full runway collections from local DFW-based designers, Season Winners and All Stars from the hit Lifetime Television show Project Runway, and emerging designers from across the globe. Below are my faves of the full runway collections...

The prints and sexy details of this collection had me swooning!

Her designs are truly red carpet worthy!

This designer had such a beautiful spirit. I was able to give her a hug after the show and she's just wonderful.

FXD also gives opportunities to the youngest of designers through CAPSULE, mini 3-look collections allowing for an accessible runway experience. My favorite in this category was...

Finally, over 20 curated Gallery spaces featured the best in emerging jewelry and accessories designers each night. My Gallery faves were...

These ladies were so friendly. I fell in love with these Aminah shoes! They come in flats or pumps. Yaaas!

Beautiful fringe leather choker!

I mean...look at this bag!

One talented DFW based designer was chosen to receive the 2016 BERNINA Dallas Fashion Fund to help spur their career with tools necessary for the trade. The 2016 recipient was Ferrah (she was one of my faves above). The 2014 winner was Nine Muses and the 2015 winner was Smith II.

 We had a great time!
I want to thank Fashion X Dallas for the tickets, and Eloquii for providing me with this fabulous dress and these sick boots to wear to the show.

THE ABSENCE OF COLOR

Hey Dolls,
Today's post features three trends for fall...pleats, lace, and block heels. I love the juxtaposition of soft feminine lace with hard-core, bad to-the-bone leather. However, in this case the leather has pretty pleats that give it a sweet meets saucy vibe. I tied (pun intended) the look together with the most perfect pair of block heel lace up sandals. The open front and back is so sexy!

During the cooler months I often choose the absence of color (black) as my go-to color but this year may be different because COLOR is the new black!

DENIM JACKET

Hey Dolls,
I've been obsessed with denim jackets lately! As we close out the summer and enter into fall a denim jacket is the perfect transition piece to have in your closet. Denim looks great dressed up or down so go pull out your old prom dress, slap on your denim jacket, and BOOM! Mind blown! lol
